The first match of the night saw Noelle Shelley and Chris Marshall battle with their Tag Team Title match looming. Marshall tried to take control early by using his strength but Shelley quickly began to attack the knees. Marshall tried to mount a come back and set Shelley up for the Midway Monster (Crimson's Red Alert) but Shelley spun out and connected with the Shelley Shocker (Gail Kim's Eat Defeat)to pick up the big win.
Next up was Kumquat Kid taking on Jack Murphy as these two fan favorites squared off. The two men exchanged a series of holds early on before Murphy began to out brawl Kid. The match looked like it was going to end after Kid landed a Trouble In Kumquatia(Kingston's Trouble In Paradise roundhouse kick) and went for the Five Alive Frogsplash (RVD style Five Star Frogsplash) but Murphy rolled out of the way and dropped Kid with the Americana (Double Underhook Lifting DDT) and got the pinfall.
The next bout was set to be Lucious Starr defending the Volitionary Title against Zach Marshall but the match never happened. Backstage we saw Chi Town Connection and Shelley's Angels brawling down the hallways before security broke them up, Wade Mason sending them all home.
Up next we saw the double debut match of the Harlequin taking on Bradley Mock. These two men looked impressive as the fans cheered on the back and forth action. Harlequin would try and bring Mock to the mat and work him down with submissions but the Natural began to battle back with power and strikes. Harlequin looked for the Pie in your Eye (A sitout facebuster like the X-Factor) but Mock countered into a powerbomb. He lifted the Harlequin off the mat and dropped him with the Natural Selection (Firemans carry into a Cutter) and picked up his first TGW win.
Allen Chaney and Dallas Hoover battled next in what shocked the fans at being one of the best matches of the night. The two big men tried to out power each other but it came down to wearing down the other opponent with strikes and blows. Hoover seemed to have control of the match near the end and went for the Smash (Inverted Scoop Powerslam) but Chaney was able to battle out and drop Hoover with the Punchline (Package Piledriver) and picked up a victory.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall... and it is for the TGW World Heavyweight Championship!"
The crowd pops loudly as a graphic for the TGW World Title flashes across the screen.
Nick Webb:
"Are you ready, Rayne, Scott? This one's for the richest prize in our entire company!"
Rayne:
"You're damn right we're ready, Webb. Bring on the action!"
Scott Parker:
"This should be a fantastic main event pitting best friends against one another, all for the right to call themselves the World Champion of True Glory Wrestling."
The GloryTron comes to life with a royal purple butterfly, slowly flapping its wings against darkness. With every flap of its wings, the arena lights pulse. The flapping gets faster and faster, until finally, the butterfly explodes. When it does, a stage-wide blast of violet pyro explodes across the stage and as the screen fills with the words "Stutterfly" Katie James, "Endless Possibility" by Jaret Reddick begins playing over the sound system!
This is my escape

The crowd explodes in a flurry of cheers as Katie James struts onto the stage and points to the crowd, grinning. She moves to each side of the stage, posing for the fans, then comes back to the center of the stage before dropping to one knee and posing as a shower of violet pyro begins falling behind her!

And I'm not looking back
Katie stands up, still grinning from ear to ear, and then quickly bounds down the ramp, slapping fan's hands along the way. Towards the bottom of the ramp, she stops and turns back to the stage, then poses with her back to the ring. Katie turns back and laughs, then makes her way around ringside, high-fiving fans as she goes.
But how will I know when I get there?

After a quick trip around the ring, Katie runs towards the ring apron facing the stage and leaps up, turning in midair and sliding from one side of the apron to the other on one knee. Katie stands up and steps over the second rope, then leans in slowly, showcasing her butt for the cheering male fans before entering the ring completely.

Katie then heads up to the top of the nearest turnbuckle and poses once more. With the fans still cheering, Katie does a backflip off the top rope and lands on her feet, then walks over to the corner across the ring and leans against it, rolling her head back and forth as the music fades.
Nick Webb:
"Katie James, a member in good standing of the BWF/TGW Hall of Fame, earned this Championship opportunity in December at Happenstance, when she fought through and won the annual Happenstance Tournament of Kings, upending Dallas Hoover, one of the Marshall brothers and Lucious Starr en route to victory. She also made history by becoming the only competitor in the history of BWF or TGW to win both the Gauntlet Run Match, in 2006, and the Happenstance Tournament."
Rayne:
"God, you're like an encyclopedia."
Nick Webb:
"It's my job to research, Rayne. Might want to give it a shot sometime."
Rayne:
"Eh. Reading gives me gas."
Scott Parker:
"Uh... anyway, to add on to what Nick said, Katie has a chance to make history again here tonight; if she can dethrone Emily Corlen and become TGW World Champion, not only will she win her very first World Championship, but she'll become the only Happenstance Monarch in history to cash in their title shot and win the Championship. Katie James' entrance theme is called "Endless Possibility", and there may not be a more appropriate name, because if she can get past Emily tonight, the sky is the limit for this young starlet."
The lights in the arena cut to black as the intro to "Paid My Dues" by Anastacia hits the GloryTron.

As the crowd cheers loudly, green strobe lights fill the arena and Emily Corlen slowly rises up through the stage, her arms outstretched akin to wings. She sweeps her arms over her head and closes them around her mouth, screaming loudly before a single blast of pyro goes off behind her.
I've been knocked down it's a crazy town
Even got a punch in the face in L.A.

The strobe lights slow down as Emily begins making her way down the ramp, her TGW World Championship around her waist and her REBEL Pro Tag Team Championship belt over her shoulder. By the time she reaches ringside, the strobe lights have completely stopped and emerald colored spotlights have begun swirling around the crowd and ring.

After making her way around the ring once, Emily hoists herself onto the apron and enters the ring through the first and second ropes. Emily makes her way to all four corners of the ring, climbing up each and posing with one belt in each hand, soaking in the cheers of the crowd.

Tried to hold me down
You can't stop me now
I paid my dues
As the lights return to normal and the music fades, Emily hands off her Tag Team Championship to the timekeeper and her World Championship to the referee, TGW Senior Official Mike Kosiboski, before she begins to slowly pace around the canvas, glancing out to the still-cheering crowd and smirking before settling her gaze on her best friend, Katie.
Nick Webb:
"There's a bit of unexpected animosity - no pun intended - between Katie and Emily going into this match-up tonight, after Katie made comments on a radio show earlier this week alluding to secret feelings Emily supposedly has, or rather had, for Lucious Starr."
Rayne:
"The way those two go back and forth, I'm with Katie; just get freaky and move on with your lives!"
Scott Parker:
"I don't imagine Emily's husband would take too kindly to that train of thought, Rayne."
As the music fades, Scott Benjamin takes the house mic again as Mike Kosiboski holds the TGW World Title up high in the center of the ring, the women in opposite corners, staring at one another.
Scott Benjamin:
"Introducing first, the challenger... hailing from the City of Angels... weighing in tonight at 125 pounds... she is STUTTERFLY... KATIE... JJJAAAMMMEEESSS!!!"
Katie holds an arm up, her stare never leaving Emily.
Scott Benjamin:
"And her opponent... she is the current and reigning TGW Heavyweight Champion of the World... hailing from Los Angeles, California by way of Rockford, Illinois... weighing in tonight at 140 pounds... she is the STANDARD BEARER OF TGW... EMILY... CCCOOORRRLLLEEENNN!!!"
Emily holds both arms up in the air, the crowd cheering loudly.
Nick Webb:
"Well, there was some dispute as to who the fans would be behind tonight, given the immense surge in popularity that Katie has experienced since winning the Happenstance Tournament, but at least here tonight in Indianapolis, it sounds to me like the fans are showing both of these women the respect and admiration that they deserve."
Rayne:
"Bunch of pantywaists! BOO SOMEBODY!"
Scott Parker:
"Actually, in good guy vs. good guy situations like this, it's not all that uncommon to see the fans come alive for both competitors. That, and I'm sure the Indy fans have realized already that they're in for a hell of a match, regardless of the outcome."
Referee Mike Kosiboski motions for both women to meet him in the center of the ring where he briefly goes over the standard rules for both competitors. He shows the Championship to both opponents, and then holds the title in the air one final time before handing it off to the timekeeper and calling for the bell to start the match.
DING!
Scott Parker:
"And our main event is underway, one fall to the finish, the TGW World Championship on the line. Let's get it on!"
Both Katie and Emily begin circling around the ring, their eyes never leaving their opponent's. Emily starts to close in on Katie and instigates the first collar and elbow tie up of the contest. The two start to jockey for position, neither competitor willing to let the other take control, as they begin dragging one another across the ring, struggling to get that ever so important first shot in. Emily finally has enough and stops Katie's momentum, shoving her against the ropes hard. Referee Kosiboski steps in and counts to four, forcing Emily to break the tie up and step back. She nods to the ref, and then turns her attention back to Katie, who surprises her with a slap across the face! Emily, almost in shock, goes for a slap of her own, but Katie grabs her arm and whips her across the ring, catching her with a stiff shoulder block on the return that sends the Champion down to the mat hard.
Nick Webb:
"Katie James drawing first blood here; I don't think Emily expected such a show of disrespect from her best friend!"
Rayne:
"All's fair in love, war and Championship matches, Webb!"
Emily scrambles to her feet and Katie is ready, catching the Champion with a lightning quick snapmare into a side headlock. Emily struggles to get free, but Katie cranks the hold back, pressing Emily's shoulders against the mat. The ref counts.

No! Emily gets her shoulder up easily. Katie grunts as she leans back some more, pressing Emily into a second cover.

Kickout! Emily again gets her shoulder up. Katie tries to crank back the headlock into another cover attempt, but Emily grabs her by the hair (perhaps out of desperation) and pulls hard, causing Katie to scream out in pain! This forces Katie to lose her grip and Emily powers out of the headlock. Both competitors rise to their feet, but as they reach a vertical base, the veteran Katie catches Emily with an atomic drop, sending her to her knees, before running to the ropes, coming back and nailing a running Dew Drop (Flying Overcastle Neckbreaker) to the kneeling Corlen!
Scott Parker:
"Oh, my! Emily Corlen just about turned inside out with that maneuver!"
Katie quickly hooks the leg.

No! Kickout! Emily gets her shoulder up at just after the two count.
Nick Webb:
"The challenger is utilizing a fantastic strategy in the early goings of this match, try to end it quickly with multiple near falls. The longer this match goes, the more it will favor the Champion, because the longer they fight, the more chances Emily will have to hit a big power move, and as we've seen in the past, with her brute strength, one big move is all it takes."
A dueling "Let's go Emily/Let's go Katie" chant begins as Katie sits up, looking a little disappointed but quickly reminding herself not to lose her cool. She grabs Emily by the hair and pulls her to her feet, but as she does so, Emily knees Katie hard in the gut, doubling her over. Emily glares at Katie before dragging her over forcefully to the nearest corner and shoving her against the turnbuckles. She then begins laying into Katie's face with numerous hard punches, each shot lifting the challenger off of her feet. After a series of stiff hits, Emily steps back and allows Katie to stumble a few feet, propping herself up against the ropes as she holds her head. Emily doesn't give her time to rest, though, as she quickly whips Katie across the ring. Emily leans down to hit Katie with a back body drop on the return, but Katie catches herself and kicks Emily hard in the skull, sending her reeling back toward the ropes. She charges at Emily and hits a Falling Star (Dropsault), sending Emily over the top rope and to the outside of the ring!
Rayne:
"If this match were being contested under Battle Royal rules, Katie would be the new TGW World Champion!"
Nick Webb:
"Of course, this match is not, but at Genesis XII in a few short weeks, both of these women will be competing in that twenty person Blazenwing Battle Royal and if this happens there, Emily will certainly be eliminated."
As Emily grabs the ring barricade and pulls herself up, Katie runs across the ring and leaps up, turning sideways and leaping over the top rope with a running shooting star press over the ropes, colliding with Emily and sending both women into the barricade! The crowd starts a "holy shit!" chant as referee Kosiboski scrambles out of the ring to check on both women.
Scott Parker:
"WOW! What a move from Katie James!"
Nick Webb:
"Moves like that are called high risk for a reason, but when they connect, they almost always yield high reward as well."
Outside of the ring, while the referee is checking on both competitors, they each begin to stir before slowly reaching their feet. As both women, slightly dazed, spot one another, each begins throwing wild punches at the other, as an all-out brawl ensues! The crowd eats it up as both women beat the holy hell out of each other, with Emily eventually getting the slight advantage. With Katie reeling, Emily rolls back into the ring. Katie follows onto the ring apron, and starts to leap onto the top rope to springboard back into the ring, but as she lands on the top rope to leap off, Emily charges, hitting the top rope and knocking Katie backwards off of the ropes and tumbling back to ringside, nearly landing right on her neck! Once again, referee Kosiboski rolls out of the ring to check on Katie, while Emily slowly stands to her feet, realizing what happened. Rather than show compassion for her friend, however, she rolls out of the ring and pulls Katie to her feet - against Kosiboski's better judgment - and lifts her up high above her head before dropping her hard onto the outside mat with a Gorilla press slam!
Nick Webb:
"Oh, my! What power from the Champion! And do we even know if Katie is able to continue? She landed pretty hard on the outside!"
Rayne:
"Almost as hard as she landed from that press slam! If the first fall didn't injure her, that second one might have!"
Emily lifts Katie up (who is almost dead weight at this point) and rolls her back into the ring before following and hooking the leg in a cover. Referee Kosiboski is unhappy, but counts regardless.

...no! The crowd pops loudly as Katie kicks out of the cover, and Emily can't believe it!
Scott Parker:
"Amazing! Katie James' will to become Champion is pushing her to heights previously unknown!"
Emily sits up, slightly perturbed, and stands before stomping hard several times on Katie's left leg. Katie screams out in pain as Emily continues slamming her foot down on Katie's leg, perhaps out of a mixture of strategy and frustration. She finally stops and takes a step back, posing to the crowd for mostly cheers, but a smattering of boos as well, before mounting Katie and hitting more punches to her head and chest region. She finally stops and stands up, smirking.
Nick Webb:
"Emily has to believe she's got this match well in hand now, ever since that bad tumble Katie took to the outside of the ring."
Rayne:
"That just might end up being that one mistake that costs Katie the win."
Scott Parker:
"Unfortunately, in this business, that's all it takes... one mistake."
Emily drags Katie over near the ropes and pulls her to her feet before attempting to whip her across the ring again. This time, though, Katie holds onto the ropes out of instinct and when Emily gets caught off guard, Katie swings her free hand and catches her across the jaw hard! Emily stumbles back and Katie unleashes a series of punches and kicks that send the Champion across the ring and reeling into the ropes! Emily comes back and Katie catches her with the Sudden Death (Dragon Suplex Pin)!

Kickout! Emily powers out of the pin attempt!
Nick Webb:
"Neither one of these women is willing to give in, not with the TGW World Championship on the line!"
Scott Parker:
"That's the mark of not only a great Champion, but a worthy challenger and possibly future Champion."
Katie stands up and pulls Emily up before shoving her hard into the nearest corner. Katie hops over to the opposite corner of the ring, leans down, and then charges, aiming for a running spear into the Champion! However, Emily drops down at the last second, leaving Katie to collide shoulder first with the steel ringpost! The fans utter an audible "ooh" as Katie stumbles backwards, leaving her open to a school boy rollup attempt by Emily!

Kickout! Katie kicks out of the pin!
Rayne:
"Close one there, Emily nearly retained. Ring presence is very important when winning or defending a title, and there's no denying that Emily has that in spades."
Emily and Katie both reach their feet and Katie gets the upper hand first with several stiff punches before running to the ropes and leaping up for what appears to be an attempted hurricanrana, but Emily catches her and counters the move into a wicked powerslam cover!

3... No! Katie gets her shoulder up at the last second! Before she can do anything, Emily shifts the cover attempt into something of an Anaconda vice, cutting off Katie's air supply as she squeezes tightly!
Scott Parker:
"Smart thinking by the Champion here; as long as she's got Katie on the mat, Katie's not in the air, where she's the most dangerous."
Katie inches towards the ropes, getting just close enough to get her left foot onto the bottom one. Referee Kosiboski forces Emily to break the hold, which she does at the count of four. She stands up and pulls Katie to her feet, but Katie catches Emily with a jawbreaker, dazing the Champion long enough for Katie to run to the ropes and hit the hurricanrana this time to a huge pop from the crowd!
Nick Webb:
"A picture perfect hurricanrana from Stutterfly!"
Katie rolls to her feet and yells, getting a nice reaction from the fans as Emily stumbles to her feet. Katie runs across the ring and hits a leaping forearm on Emily, and then another as Emily quickly rises to her feet, and then a third as the same thing happens. Emily gets up again, but this time, Katie runs to the corner and leaps onto the top rope before hitting a quick moonsault, taking the Champion down into a cover!

3... No! Kickout! Emily kicks out and Katie can't believe it!
Rayne:
"This is what Katie James needs to do to win this match... keep the pace of the match quick, because speed is where Katie excels and speed is what is going to win her the Championship."
Katie and Emily both rise to their feet together, with Katie reaching her feet just a little bit sooner. She grabs Emily and hits her with the Starshot (Mickie James' Lifting DDT) before pulling Emily to her feet, dragging her to the corner and nailing the Bleeding Rose (Sliced Bread #2; the Family's Signature Move)! The Indianapolis crowd comes to their feet, sensing history about to be made, as Katie aligns Emily in the ring before ascending to the top rope!
Nick Webb:
"I think Katie James is about to get Aerotic!"
Scott Parker:
"If she can hit this move, we're going to see a new TGW World Champion crowned here tonight!"
Katie stands on the top rope, ready to leap off with the move that's won her dozens of matches before, but right before she can jump, Emily instinctually rolls out of harm's way, finding her way to the ring apron. A larger subsection of the crowd boos, perhaps hoping to see Aerotica, as Emily pulls herself to her feet on the apron using the ropes. What she fails to notice, however, is that Katie is still on the top rope just a few feet away, and as she turns, Katie jumps off the top rope, hitting Emily with a missile dropkick and sending her flying off the apron hard into the barricade!
Rayne:
"HA! Emily just can't get away from Katie no matter where she goes in the ring!"
As Emily struggles to regain her bearings on the outside, Katie climbs the turnbuckle again and poses to the crowd before leaping backwards and hitting a second moonsault from the top rope to the floor onto Emily! The crowd pops for the daredevil offense as both women lay on the outside, worse for wear!
Scott Parker:
"I... who got the worst of that? They both look down for the count!"
As a loud "KA-TIE" chant breaks out, the 2011 Happenstance Queen reaches her feet, hurt but grinning. She lifts Emily up and rolls her back into the ring before following. Emily reaches for the nearby ropes to pull herself up as Katie stands in the center of the ring, motioning for Emily to stand up so she can end this!
Nick Webb:
"I believe Katie James is calling for the Extreme Makeover!"
Emily reaches her feet and steps backwards, right into Katie's waiting hands! Katie grabs Emily and puts her in position for the Extreme Makeover (Cross-Rhodes), but as she spins to finish the move, Emily spins into the move, countering before lifting Katie into the air, Stutterfly's back to Emily; in mid-air, Emily pushes Katie off and catches her arms, and within a split second, turns the move into her own Catalyst (Glam Slam), driving Katie's face down into the mat with as much power as the TGW World Champion can muster! The crowd pops almost out of sheer amazement as Emily rolls Katie from the landed Catalyst position into the cover, hooking the leg and putting all of her weight on Katie's body!

Scott Benjamin:

"Paid My Dues" by Anastacia hits the GloryTron as Emily rolls back to her knees, closing her eyes as she realizes how close Katie came to ending her Championship reign. She looks down at the crumpled, knocked out remains of her best friend and feels a mixture of relief and pity as she stands up and referee Mike Kosiboski hands her the TGW World Championship before raising her arm in victory. The entire arena, even the fans who were adamant in cheering for Katie, applaud the two women who gave their all for the richest prize in TGW.
Nick Webb:
"WOW! Did you SEE that!? How fast, how quick, did that happen? What an absolutely amazing counter!"
Scott Parker:
"No doubt, a testament to the sheer ability and wherewithal of our World Champion!"
Rayne:
"But, don't take anything away from Katie James in this contest, either. She and Corlen were nearly blow for blow this entire match, and if not for a handful of mistakes, I think we could have easily seen a new World Champion here tonight."
Nick Webb:
"Agreed. Don't forget, too, that Katie will have another chance to become TGW World Champion in two short weeks when both she and Emily step into Hellbound against Dallas Hoover, Lucious Starr and AJ Adams. If Katie can prevent herself from making the same mistakes as she did tonight, she just might be raising that Championship at the end of the night in Madison, Wisconsin at Corrupted Dreams."
Rayne:
"Hold up!"
The camera turns to the top of the ramp where AJ Adams stands and claps for both of the competitors, smile on his face. Corlen turns and holds her title up to Adams who nods and the motions for it around his waist.
Nick Webb:
"Adams is ready for Corrupted Dreams!"
Scott Parker:
"Any one of those five individuals could leave Hellbound as the TGW World Champion, but only one will be able to. Who will it be? Will Emily Corlen's reign as the Standard Bearer of TGW continue, or will a new Champion be crowned? Don't miss the next event! It's going to be amazing!"
Nick Webb:
"Without a doubt! For Rayne and Scott Parker, I'm Nick Webb... good night from Indy! Good night from Animosity!"
The crowd is still cheering and Emily is still celebrating with her Championship as the screen fades to the TGW logo, then to black.
